Oxjam Plymouth

The first ever Oxjam Plymouth Takeover festival is finally here! So get your tickets quick!

For the first time Plymouth joins cities from every corner of the country, Aberdeen to London, Liverpool to Lewisham, to taking over a part of their city with local live music talent, all in the name of a good cause!

On Saturdy the 22nd of October Oxjam Plymouth will fill 3 venues over the Barbican with the best of local talent.

The B Bar at The Barbican Theatre will play host to a packed schedule of singer song writers and live bands. Opening as a special one-off venue, The Pipe Gallery on New street will feature new and exciting live music in a new and exciting setting. Live Lounge will be the setting of an after party featuring Bands and DJ sets to keep you dancing into the a.m.

Entry to all 3 venues, to see all that live music, costs only £4! You can buy a ticket online or from The B Bar.

Not only does your £4 buy you an evening of Plymouth’s best music, but it buys aid for those who are most in need of it. Oxjam Takeover festivals raise money for Oxjam projects across the world. Oxjam is currently providing aid to East African countries which have been inflicted with sever, wide spread droughts and famine. Money raised by Oxjam Plymouth will help families battle through these harsh conditions.

LOCAL MUSIC, GLOBAL IMPACT – IN ACTION

Oxjam means that anyone who likes music can help in the fight against poverty just by taking part in something we love. Here’s how the money you donate makes a real difference.

£100
Essential medicines & medical equipment
Even the most basic medicines can make a big difference. First aid kits, sanitary kits and simple drugs can help make someone’s life a lot better.

£429
Build a Library
Education is the key to escaping poverty, and libraries play an important role. This money could build the building, train staff to run it, fill the shelves with books and provide computers.

£720
Safe water for 800 people
Supplying clean water saves lives. Filters, taps and tanks – Oxfam has got what it takes when it comes to delivering safe water that will keep people healthy and happy.
